working together

As a person who is experiencing stress when caring for a loved one, whether it’s an aging parent or a spouse with a chronic illness such as dementia, you have likely tried at least one avenue to manage the worry and pressure in your life. You may have read personal development books, joined a gym, or sat in on a support group. While all of those interventions can be helpful to caregivers, you need something more tailored to your individual situation. That’s where stress reduction for caregivers comes in.

I offer individual coaching to help people improve their overall health and well-being. If you know this is for you, schedule a complimentary visit with me.

For those who prefer to learn in a group setting, I teach an 8-week mindfulness-based stress reduction course to organizations and in community settings with special emphasis on caregivers.

individual stress reduction for caregivers

You’ve made the choice to try something different. Having a supportive person to walk with you is a critical step for making changes that last.

  • you decide what area of your life most requires attention.

  • I listen, learn, ask, guide, coach, and support.

During our time together you will:

  • explore habits of mind and body that get in the way of greater health and peace of mind.

  • develop awareness about what habits, thoughts, or actions might be sabotaging your efforts.

  • create a realistic, guilt-free self-care plan that works for you.

  • set small but meaningful goals that align with your life.

This is for you if:

  • you want one-on-one attention as you learn how to integrate mindful living and meditation into your life.

  • you are willing to learn and grow —which might mean stepping slightly out of your comfort zone — but doing so with guidance and support.

  • you want a personalized plan for how to deal with caregiver stress

Logistics:

  • six 1-hour sessions over 3 months.

  • check-ins as needed throughout the month (connecting for 20 minutes or less during times when you need extra support).

Scheduling:

complementary coaching session (45 mins)

If you want to experience what it would be like to work together, a complimentary coaching session can be scheduled at https://calendly.com/lisa-bwtbw or by messaging me via the contact page. This is a no-obligation deep dive into you and your unique situation. The only aim is for you to learn more about yourself and identify a starting place. If at the end of the session, we both feel that working together would be beneficial, then we will schedule another call to talk about logistics.

“There is a genuine and authentic presence about Lisa that lets me know she truly cares about my well-being. Through her non-threatening and supportive demeanor, she challenges me to look inward with a critical and reflective eye to find peace within myself. Journeying with her, I have discovered the freedom to risk vulnerability, and open up, confident that Lisa is helping me to be my best self. ”

Lisa has a passion for helping others become healthier and happier versions of themselves. As a wellness coach, she integrates her medical experience, with mindfulness and holistic coaching to build awareness of individual health and wellness obstacles. She then guides her clients to make healthier choices that they can visualize with positive outcomes.

She has helped me better understand the barriers that stopped me from taking charge of my health. I was able to set goals that were attainable and that have helped me maintain a more positive outlook on how I approach exercise and eating. Through in-person and virtual sessions, I always looked forward to meeting with Lisa as she was a breath of fresh air that left me feeling energized. I would highly recommend Lisa if you are interested in building a healthier lifestyle.
